The Resin type chemical resistance mortars have fairly good resistance to non-oxidizing minerals acids and poor resistance to oxidizing minerals acds. They are fairly resistant to inorganic alkalies. As the resin type of mortars are resistant to water, the joits between acid proof bricks or tiles are impermeable when bonded with these mortars. These types of mortars are used for jointing acid -proof bricks or tiles in pickling tanks, storage tanks and as jointing material in floors.Resin type chemical reistant mortar is an intimate mixture of liquid resinous material and a powder composed of properly selected filler materials and usually contining the settling agent. These components are mixed at ordinary temperture to form a trowable mortar that subsequently hardens.
The liquid resin is a combiantion of the following Resins: -1. Phenolic Resin2. Furane Resin3. Epoxy Resin4. Polyster Resin
